Program Details
What ages is this program for?
Our program is designed for students ages 6-13, divided into three age-appropriate cohorts: 6-8, 9-11, and 12-13 years old.
What is the program schedule?
The program runs from October 2024 through June 2025, with one 45-minute in-person session per month on Saturdays or Sundays. Exact session times will be determined based on cohort assignments.
Where are the sessions held?
Sessions will be held at a local library in the Carnation area. The exact location is still being finalized.
How much does the program cost?
Thanks to a generous grant from Google, this program is being offered at no cost to participants.
What materials are included?
All necessary project materials and kits are included in the program. Students will receive a new project kit each month to work on during sessions and take home.
What is the class size?
We maintain small class sizes with a maximum of 10 students per cohort to ensure personalized attention.
What is the make-up policy for missed sessions?
While sessions won't be recorded, all program materials will be available for pickup. Parents can coordinate a time to collect the materials after a missed session.
What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?
Drop-off and pick-up will be at the library based on the specific timing of each session. Please arrive on time for both drop-off and pick-up.
What should my child bring to each session?
Students should bring their kit materials and journals to each session. All necessary project components will be provided.
Is there any required technology or software?
A computer will be needed for some activities. Specific software and additional materials will be provided as part of the program.
Is parental involvement required during sessions?
Parents are not required to stay during sessions but may need to assist their children with projects throughout the month.
Will photos be taken during the program?
Yes, we will be taking photos during sessions that may be posted on our website and Instagram. Please let us know if you have any concerns about photo usage.
